Foreign nationals who wish to work in Montenegro need a temporary residence permit with work authorization
If you're a foreign national planning to start and operate a business in Montenegro, you'll need to obtain a temporary residence permit with work authorization. This permit allows you to legally reside and work in the country.
Important: We recommend starting with business registration first. Once your company is registered, you can apply for the residence permit using your company registration documents.
